POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Regional Account Manager is someone who performs a variety of sales related duties targeted at Regional Health Club Accounts, YMCA’s and other accounts in a designated geography. This position provides sales support in accordance with company policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales:
- This position will be the main contact for and managing relationships within the defined regional territory. These will primarily be within the Health Club and YMCA account segments.
- Responsible for strategic planning for growth of Vision brand in other potential Accounts
- Coordinate implementation of strategies and/or tactical execution with each Vision & Johnson Commercial Fitness Account Managers
- Monitor the new opportunities volume each month and total pipeline of all designated accounts opportunities
- Provide Product Management with product, market and customer feedback/information
- Regularly provide management with accurate reports
- Meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
- Follow all related procedures & policies
- Attend periodic industry trade shows
Marginal Job Functions:
- Other projects as needed.
Education:
- Associates degree is required, or high school diploma/equivalent with prior experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience as a proven producer required
- Sales forecasting and reporting capability required
- Working knowledge of the commercial fitness industry; dues paying facilities or vertical market required
- 2 years or more of YMCA and/or JCCA account sales preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer required
- Software experience with CRM (SFDC), Auto Sketch or similar preferred
Travel Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required for travel
- Position will be subjected to pre-employment and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks. Must be able to successfully pass MVR checks to drive on behalf of the company.
- This position will required to travel up to 80% of the time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment; and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The employee must be able to view and read information on a computer monitor, perform tasks requiring close vision, and adjust focus as needed. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or otherwise move about the workplace to access files, supplies, equipment, or work areas. Repetitive use of the hands, wrists, and fingers is required for keyboarding and other administrative or clerical duties. The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 20 pounds.
This position requires travel to customer locations and may involve demonstrating, inspecting, troubleshooting, or assisting with the installation of fitness equipment. During these activities, the employee may be required to lift, move, push, pull, or carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, as well as perform additional physical activities such as standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, reaching, bending, and working in customer facilities.
Work Environment:
The employee must be able to maintain concentration in a variety of work environments and sustain attention to detail while managing multiple priorities. The position requires the ability to reason, analyze information, and make sound decisions promptly. The employee must also be capable of working both independently and collaboratively, interacting professionally with colleagues, leadership, and external partners.
Employees approved to work remotely must meet the following requirements:
- A designated home workspace that is professional, quiet, and free from distractions
- Reliable high-speed internet access sufficient to support video conferencing and business applications
- The computer camera must remain on during all scheduled team and one-on-one meetings, unless otherwise directed
- Appropriate childcare or dependent care arrangements must be in place during scheduled work hours to ensure full availability and productivity
