The role As Dojo continues our expansion across Europe, we are looking for a Local Regional Compliance Manager to take ownership of our financial crime programme in Spain. In this pivotal role, you will establish and maintain a robust financial crime framework aligned with Banco de España regulatory requirements and anti-financial crime standards. Reporting to the Head of AML for Europe, you will lead daily operations for our Spanish financial crime team while collaborating closely with the wider European team to support our rapid growth. What you will do... Establish and oversee local AML/CTF governance, risk assessments, and management reporting for senior leadership and group committees. Act as the central point of contact for Spanish regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and SEPBLAC, managing regulatory reviews and audits. Develop, implement, and test Spanish AML/CTF policies, procedures, and monitoring controls in alignment with Group standards. Provide expert AML/CTF advisory to first-line teams and manage country-specific escalations across Underwriting, KYC, and Financial Crime. Monitor Spanish and EU regulatory changes (including Banco de España, SEPBLAC, and AMLA developments) to assess impact and guide business solutions. Deliver localised AML/CTF training and foster a proactive compliance culture across our Spanish operations. What you will bring... Extensive experience in an AML/CTF and financial crime compliance role within payments, fintech, or financial services. In-depth knowledge of Spanish AML/CTF legislation, Banco de España and SEPBLAC expectations, and EU regulatory frameworks. Proven track record of engaging with regulators, supporting audits and inspections, and implementing compliance programmes. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the autonomy to deliver impact from day one. Professional AML/CTF certification from an internationally recognised body (e.g., ACAMS, CFCS, or equivalent) is preferred. Professional fluency in Spanish and English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. Dojo home and away We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person.
