Regional Compliance Manager – Americas

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Compliance Program & Governance

• Design, implement, and continuously improve compliance, governance, and risk management programs across the region, including Joint Ventures, closing identified gaps through practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Own and maintain the regional application of Omya's Code of Conduct, ensuring it is communicated, understood, and embedded in day-to-day business practices.
• Conduct regular risk assessments at Regional, Area, and Country level to identify high-risk areas for fraud and non-compliance and track corrective actions to closure.
• Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness programs across the region.
• Act as a trusted advisor to regional and local business leaders on compliance risk.
• Track compliance findings and trends over time to inform continuous improvement of policies, controls, and training.

Investigations & Fraud

• Independently lead internal investigations into fraud, misconduct, and non-compliance across business functions, managing the full lifecycle from planning and evidence gathering through interviews, findings, and remediation.
• Oversee the whistleblowing hotline and other reporting channels, ensuring safe and confidential escalation for employees.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Group/Regional Compliance, Legal, Regional Management, and Business Process Owners on cross-functional compliance initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; relevant certification preferred (e.g., CFE, CCEP, CAMS).
• 5+ years in compliance, investigations, or regulatory roles, ideally with fraud investigation or anti-corruption (ABC) experience, in a regional or multinational setting.
• Demonstrated experience leading internal investigations, including interviewing, evidence handling, and case documentation.
• Experience building or managing compliance programs, including training and awareness initiatives.
• Spanish/English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong risk-based, analytical, and problem-solving skills; comfortable operating with pragmatism in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% across the US, Canada, Mexico, and South America.
