You will also oversee the Regional Controller, supporting accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls while keeping your primary focus on strategic analysis, financial insight and business decision support.
What You'll Be Doing

- Act as a trusted financial partner to the President, SVP, and senior leadership team, providing meaningful financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze financial and operational performance across business divisions, regions, manufacturers, customers, and projects to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate financial performance challenges, including margin fluctuations, pricing strategies, operational costs, and profitability, to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to evaluate business performance, growth opportunities, and potential risks.
- Evaluate the financial impact of import tariffs, duties, supplier costs, and pricing decisions, recommending strategies to protect profitability.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational productivity, inventory management, working capital, and cash flow.
- Prepare financial business cases and investment analyses for strategic initiatives, including business expansion, new product offerings, staffing, capital investments, and acquisitions.
- Lead executive financial performance reviews, presenting key findings, financial results, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Service, and other departments to understand business performance and support continuous improvement.
- Oversee financial reporting quality and accounting controls through the Regional Controller, providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
- Collaborate with AIR Corporate Finance and FP&A teams to ensure alignment with corporate financial planning, reporting standards, and business objectives.
- Leverage ERP systems, Power BI, reporting tools, automation, and emerging technologies to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and overall efficiency.
- Support financial systems improvements, business integrations, and reporting initiatives as the organization continues to grow.
- Monitor the financial outcomes of business initiatives and investments, comparing actual results against expected performance and identifying opportunities for adjustment.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring

- Minimum of ten plus (10+) years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), commercial finance, or a similar strategic finance role.
- CPA, CFA, MBA, FPAC, or a comparable professional qualification.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior executives and operational leaders to provide financial insights that influence business decisions.
- Strong experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business performance reporting.
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial and operational data, identify root causes, and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
- Strong understanding of distribution economics, profitability, pricing strategies, inventory management, working capital, and cash flow.
- Experience analyzing the financial impact of import tariffs, duties, landed costs, and supplier pricing.
