About ScoutHubble

ScoutHubble is building a football intelligence and recruitment platform to help clubs, sporting directors, recruitment teams and scouts understand player markets more efficiently.

We combine player data, performance metrics, video analysis, market intelligence and squad-planning frameworks to support recruitment decisions.

We are building an international network of regional football specialists who understand their domestic leagues beyond what can be found in a database.

Why This Opportunity Exists

Breaking into football recruitment can be difficult.

Many aspiring scouts and analysts understand football but lack access to professional tools, realistic recruitment projects, published work they can point to, or a credible reason to start conversations with people inside clubs.

We want this network to help close that gap while improving ScoutHubble's understanding of football markets worldwide.

You contribute regional knowledge, analysis and football insight. ScoutHubble provides access to our platform for approved projects, structured scouting assignments, opportunities to develop portfolio-quality work and feedback where possible.

The Role

As a Regional Football Intelligence & Scouting Associate, you will focus on a country, league or football market you genuinely understand.

The role combines three areas:

Football intelligence: Understanding players, squads, recruitment patterns and transfer dynamics.

Scouting: Using data, video and local knowledge to identify and evaluate players and recruitment opportunities.

Football network development: Building relevant relationships with scouts, recruitment staff, academies and other football professionals.

This is not a traditional sales role. You will not be expected to spam clubs or work through generic lead lists.

You may be an aspiring or active scout, recruitment analyst, coach, sports management student, agent-side researcher, football writer or someone with exceptional knowledge of a particular market.

Professional club experience is useful, but not required.

What You Might Work On

Depending on your market and interests, your work could include:

  • Monitoring a defined league or regional player market
  • Identifying undervalued and emerging players
  • Building U23 and academy watchlists
  • Producing player reports and recruitment shortlists
  • Analysing squad depth and recruitment needs
  • Comparing signings using data, video and contextual analysis
  • Mapping transfer pathways between leagues and countries
  • Following contract, age-profile and squad-planning developments
  • Attending local matches when practical
  • Speaking with scouts, recruitment staff, academies and football professionals
  • Providing regional knowledge that improves ScoutHubble's tools and methodology

Projects can be shaped around your strengths, interests, market and availability.

Who This Could Be Good For

This opportunity may suit you if you:

  • Want practical experience in football recruitment or scouting
  • Follow a particular league in unusual depth
  • Enjoy identifying players before they become obvious
  • Understand tactical roles beyond statistics
  • Want to develop a credible recruitment portfolio
  • Are comfortable combining data, video and contextual analysis
  • Can communicate clearly and professionally
  • Are self-directed and comfortable working remotely

Experience with Wyscout, Hudl, InStat, FBref, Transfermarkt or similar platforms is useful but not required.

Existing football-industry contacts are not required.

We would rather work with someone who deeply understands one league than someone who claims expertise across ten.

What You Get

ScoutHubble Platform Access

Associates receive access to ScoutHubble's football intelligence tools for approved scouting and research projects.

Use them to test ideas, develop your recruitment methodology and produce structured analysis.

Work You Can Build On

Depending on your projects, you may develop:

  • Player recruitment reports
  • Club-specific shortlists
  • U23 watchlists
  • League market maps
  • Squad-planning analysis
  • Transfer-market studies
  • Data-led player profiles

Strong work may have the opportunity to be published by ScoutHubble with full contributor attribution.

We will never publish your work without your agreement.

Feedback and Development

Where possible, contributors will receive feedback on selected work, particularly around report structure, player profiling, recruitment logic and communicating findings clearly.

Football Industry Exposure

ScoutHubble can provide a professional context for engaging with people working in recruitment.

Instead of approaching a club simply to ask for an opportunity, you may eventually approach relevant professionals with something useful: a market observation, player profile, recruitment study or analysis relevant to their club.

Compensation and Future Opportunities

This is currently an unpaid opportunity.

There is no salary, guaranteed commission, equity or other financial compensation attached to the Associate role at this stage.

The commitment is intentionally limited and flexible at approximately 4 to 8 hours per week.

As ScoutHubble grows, there may be opportunities for paid project work, regional responsibilities, consulting assignments or other formal positions. Future opportunities are not guaranteed and would be discussed separately.

What We Do Not Expect

We do not expect you to:

  • Work full-time hours
  • Pay for expensive travel
  • Already know sporting directors personally
  • Send hundreds of cold emails
  • Purchase expensive scouting or data subscriptions
  • Produce unnecessarily lengthy reports
  • Pretend to know markets you do not genuinely follow

Four thoughtful hours from someone who understands their market can be more useful than twenty hours of generic research.

What Good Work Looks Like

Imagine you follow a club whose starting right-back is entering the final year of his contract, while the backup does not provide the same progression qualities.

You define the required profile, investigate realistic markets, identify candidates and narrow them through data, video and contextual analysis.

You then produce a concise recruitment dossier explaining not simply who the players are, but why they make sense for that club.

That is the type of thinking we value.

Example Projects

Market Mapping: Identify U23 players in your league who could realistically move to a stronger domestic club or another market.

Squad Intelligence: Choose a club and identify recruitment priorities based on squad age, contracts, depth, playing style and performance.

Player Identification: Find realistic players who satisfy a defined tactical, age and financial profile.

Regional Intelligence: Explain how clubs in your market recruit, where they buy players from and where they successfully sell talent.

Application

We deliberately keep the first application short. You do not need a formal cover letter.

We want to understand how you think about football.

Use this subject:

[Regional Associate Application] | [Country / League] | [Your Name]

Keep your application to 200 words or fewer, excluding links.

Start With a Player

Your first line should contain the surname and primary position of one U23 player in your target market whom you believe is undervalued or under-recognized.

Format: Surname (Position)

There is no single correct answer. We are interested in your choice and reasoning.

Your Football Question

Choose one professional club in your target market and briefly tell us:

  1. What is one specific recruitment or squad-construction problem the club faces?
  2. What type of player, profile or market would you investigate as a solution, and why?

You do not need access to expensive data platforms. We are interested in your reasoning, observations and market knowledge.

Your application remains your work. We will never publish or use your application analysis as ScoutHubble content without your agreement.

Tell Us About You

Include:

  • Your country and the league or market you know best
  • Your LinkedIn profile or personal website
  • Optional links to scouting reports, articles, dashboards, tactical analysis or other football work

If you have never published scouting work before, you can still apply. We care more about your reasoning than the size of your portfolio.

Send applications to careers@scouthubble.com or or apply directly through LinkedIn.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
