About the Role As the Regional Practice Leader in Bridges, Tunnels & Marine, Western Canada , you will provide strategic, technical and operational leadership for CIMA+ Bridge, Tunnel, and Marine infrastructure engineering practice within the Transportation Group across Western Canada. In collaboration with CIMA+’s existing teams, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of professionals delivering bridge, tunnel, and marine infrastructure projects, while scaling the practice into a market-leading position in Western Canada The role combines strong technical credibility in bridge engineering with business leadership, client development and talent management. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing the Bridge, Tunnel, and Marine infrastructure practice, strengthening CIMA+’s position in the Western Canadian transportation market, and developing its technical and leadership capabilities. Main Responsibilities Develop and execute the strategic direction and growth plan for the Bridge, Tunnel, and Marine infrastructure practice within the Transportation Group across Western Canada. Provide senior technical leadership and oversight for bridge, tunnel, and marine infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, quality and sound engineering practices. Drive business development and maintain strong relationships with key public and private clients, industry partners and stakeholders across Western Canada. Identify market opportunities and strengthen CIMA+’s presence and reputation in the Western Canadian bridge, tunnel, and marine infrastructure market. Identify and assess potential strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities that could accelerate the growth and capabilities of the practice. Lead and develop a high-performing team of engineering professionals and leaders, including workforce planning, recruitment and succession planning. Lead selected strategic pursuits, capture strategies, partnerships and teaming arrangements. Take ownership of the business performance of the practice, including revenue growth, profitability, utilization and resource planning. Foster collaboration across offices, disciplines and national teams to optimize expertise, resources and project delivery. Act as a senior advisor and escalation point for key clients, strategic projects and complex technical or operational matters. Promote a culture of technical excellence, innovation, safety, quality and accountability. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or a related engineering discipline. A Master’s degree and/or advanced business degree is considered an asset. Minimum of 15 years of progressive and broad-based experience in the consulting engineering industry, with demonstrated expertise in technical and project delivery, business leadership and team management, and significant experience in bridge, tunnel and/or marine infrastructure. Licensed as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia and/or other provinces Strong technical credibility and significant experience in bridge, tunnel, and marine infrastructure engineering, including the design and delivery of major bridge and infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of engineering standards, practices, project delivery models and industry trends relevant to major transportation infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of the Western Canadian market, with established relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders. Significant experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams within a consulting engineering environment. Proven track record in business development, client relationship management and profitable business growth. Strong business acumen combined with technical credibility and strategic thinking. Demonstrated ability to develop technical talent and future leaders. Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills. Collaborative, entrepreneurial and accountable leadership style.
