Who are we?

Trelleborg Industrial Solutions (TIS) is a global leader in innovative polymer-based solutions for key industries and critical infrastructure. We are one of three Business Areas within the Trelleborg Group, with a total of about 6 200 employees around the world.

Within TIS, Product Area (PA) Industrial Hoses is an international organization of approximately 850 people, serving demanding industrial markets with engineered fluid transfer solutions, including rubber, composite and metal hoses. Our solutions help customers operate safely, reliably and efficiently in applications where performance matters.

This is an opportunity to join a global business while taking commercial ownership of one of its most important and diverse markets. You will have the visibility, influence and direct access to senior leadership needed to turn market opportunities into sustainable, profitable growth.

About the Job

As Regional Sales Director - North America, you will lead and develop our Industrial Hoses business across the region. Reporting directly to the PA Director, you will shape and execute the regional commercial strategy while leading a geographically dispersed team of Sales Managers. This is much more than a traditional regional sales position. You will take responsibility for a large and strategically important market, connect regional customer needs with global business priorities, and influence how we grow across North America.

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Develop and execute the North American sales strategy for our rubber, composite, metal and other industrial hose solutions.
  • Deliver ambitious sales, margin, order intake and market-growth objectives.
  • Identify new markets, applications and business opportunities while strengthening our position with existing customers.
  • Build long-term relationships with strategic accounts, distributors, OEMs, agents and channel partners.
  • Lead key negotiations and support major commercial agreements.
  • Drive market-expansion initiatives and successfully introduce new products and solutions.
  • Monitor competitors, industry trends and changing customer requirements, translating these insights into clear commercial actions.
  • Lead, coach and develop a geographically dispersed sales team across the United States.
  • Establish clear priorities, performance expectations and individual development plans.
  • Strengthen succession planning and build the capabilities required for future growth.
  • Manage regional forecasts, budgets, business plans, pipelines and commercial KPIs.
  • Develop pricing approaches that balance customer value, competitiveness, growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with Product Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance and HR.
  • Represent the North American market in global sales meetings, leadership forums and strategic business reviews.
  • Promote a culture built on customer focus, accountability, collaboration, integrity and continuous improvement.
Travel is an important part of the position. You can expect to spend approximately 50% of your time travelling, depending on business priorities and growth initiatives. This includes customer visits, distributor reviews, commercial negotiations, team-development activities, exhibitions and global business meetings.

About the Ideal Candidate

You are a commercially driven leader who sees the bigger picture but remains close enough to customers and teams to turn strategy into results. You are comfortable working across functions, cultures and geographies, and you know how to create momentum in a complex international organization. You build trust through credibility and follow-through. You can challenge established ways of working, make well-grounded commercial decisions and bring people with you as the business evolves.

What you will need to succeed
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing or a related field.
  • Significant B2B sales leadership experience within industrial manufacturing, engineered products or a comparable technical environment.
  • Experience leading a regional or multi-country sales organization.
  • A proven record of delivering sustainable sales growth and improved profitability.
  • Experience working with distributors, channel partners, strategic accounts and complex stakeholder networks.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, pricing and pipeline management.
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience, with the ability to coach, develop and motivate geographically dispersed employees.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.

It will be an advantage if you also have

  • Experience in industrial hoses, fluid-handling solutions, polymers or adjacent industrial markets.
  • Experience introducing technical products or solutions into new markets.
  • Familiarity with OEM, distributor and end-user commercial models.
  • Additional language skills.
  • Experience working in a global matrix organization
