This individual will drive new business development, manage key accounts, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver tailored solutions to OEMs, system providers, and defense contractors.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Actively manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation through contract execution.
  • Drive internal teams (engineering, production, quality, legal) to support complex proposals and deliverables.
  • Maintain regular communication with key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and program success.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, territory reports, and pipeline status updates to senior management.
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitive positioning to inform strategic sales planning.
  • Represent the organization at key customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the aerospace or defense industry is required.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex B2B sales cycles and securing strategic wins in a highly technical environment.
  • Experience developing and managing complex proposals and long-cycle sales involving cross-functional coordination.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for pipeline tracking and customer relationship management.
  • Proven ability to develop tailored proposals that integrate engineering, contractual, and pricing elements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.

Essential/Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with onboard aircraft systems, including environmental control systems (ECS), air management, hydraulics, fuel, avionics cooling, and drive systems.
  • Understanding of aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD, AS9100).
  • Experience selling electromechanical or fluid sensing components such as flow, pressure, temperature, and level sensors into aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Prior relationships or experience working with major aerospace primes or key subsystem integrators.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, system schematics, and specifications for sensor integration.
  • Strong contractual and commercial negotiation skills within the aerospace or defense procurement environment, knowledgeable with FAR/DFARS flowdowns.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Up to 25–50% travel required, primarily within the assigned territory, including occasional international travel.
  • Must be able to work extended hours when necessary to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Role may involve time spent in manufacturing environments, requiring the use of PPE and adherence to site safety protocols.
  • Frequent use of standard office equipment; prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., marketing materials, product samples).

This position offers a competitive base salary and eligibility for the Company’s Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), allowing for additional earnings tied to sales performance and business objectives.
