POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Trainer to provide dedicated sales training support across our operations in Belize, Colombia, and Jamaica.

This role will be mainly responsible for in-person new-hire sales training, as well as virtual refresher and performance training for existing employees.

The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of experience training sales teams, preferably within a BPO or contact center environment, with experience in inbound and/or outbound sales.

The individual should already have strong sales training and facilitation skills. After joining, the main learning requirement will be to become familiar with our specific products, clients, systems, processes, and sales expectations.

The role will work closely with clients, Training Leadership, Quality Assurance, and Local Operations Managers, to identify training needs and provide training solutions that support sales performance, customer experience, and revenue growth.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This is a regional position and requires the flexibility to travel between:

  • 🇧🇿 Belize
  • 🇨🇴 Colombia
  • 🇯🇲 Jamaica

The candidate must be comfortable traveling internationally as needed by the business.

Preferred:

  • Valid U.S. visa is an advantage due to possible business travel requirements.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
  • Flexibility to work temporarily from different regional locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. New-Hire Sales Training
  • Serve as the lead instructor for in-person new-hire sales training.
  • Deliver engaging, interactive, and performance-focused sales training.
  • Train new hires on inbound and/or outbound sales processes.
  • Teach sales techniques, customer engagement, probing, identifying customer needs, handling objections, closing, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Conduct role-plays, simulations, knowledge checks, assessments, and practical learning activities.
  • Prepare trainees for a successful move from training into production.
  • Identify knowledge and skill gaps during training and provide coaching and additional support.
  • Ensure trainees understand both the product knowledge and sales behaviors needed for success.
  1. Refresher & Sales Enhancement Training
  • Deliver virtual refresher training to existing employees across all three geographies.
  • Develop and deliver targeted training based on identified performance gaps.
  • Deliver training focused on:
    • Cross-selling
    • Upselling
    • Revenue enhancement
    • Sales conversion
    • Objection handling
    • Closing techniques
    • Customer engagement
    • Product knowledge
    • Sales process adherence
    • Missed sales opportunities
  • Develop short, focused learning sessions to address specific performance needs.
  • Provide additional training when performance trends show that more support is needed.
  • Adjust training content based on business, client, and operational needs.
  1. Revenue & Sales Performance
  • Identify training opportunities that can improve sales performance and revenue.
  • Review available sales and performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work with Operations and Quality Assurance to understand performance gaps.
  • Develop training solutions designed to improve sales behaviors and results.
  • Support initiatives focused on increasing conversion, cross-selling, upselling, and revenue generation.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training and make changes based on results.
  1. Client Partnership
  • Work closely with clients to understand sales expectations, product changes, business priorities, and training requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings related to sales training and performance, demonstrating fluency and confidence when communicating with senior stakeholders.
  • Include client feedback in training content and delivery.
  • Ensure training stays aligned with client expectations and operational requirements.
  1. Internal Training & Operations
  • Work closely with the internal Training team to ensure consistency in sales training and reinforcement.
  • Provide guidance and support to local trainers when sales training assistance is needed.
  • Maintain close communication with Local Operations Managers to identify refresher and performance-training needs.
  • Share best practices and sales-training resources across the three geographies.
  • Support consistent sales-training practices across Belize, Colombia, and Jamaica.

MEASURABLE SUCCESS EXPECTATIONS

Success in this role should be measured by training quality, learner readiness, sales performance, and business impact.

  1. New-Hire Readiness
  • Achieve an agreed new-hire training completion rate of 90%+.
  • Achieve an agreed training assessment/pass rate of 90%+, or the client/program-specific target.
  • Ensure 100% of new hires receive required sales role-plays and practical assessments before moving to production.
  • Track and report new-hire performance during the first 30/60/90 days after training.
  • Identify recurring knowledge or skill gaps and provide corrective training.
  1. Training Effectiveness
  • Establish a baseline for sales performance before and after each major training course.
  • Show measurable improvement in the targeted performance metric following refresher or enhancement training.
  • Target an agreed improvement in key sales metrics such as:
    • Conversion rate
    • Sales per hour
    • Revenue per call
    • Average Handle Time
    • Upsell rate
    • Cross-sell rate
    • Close rate
  • Review training results with Operations and adjust training when expected improvements are not achieved.
  1. Revenue Enhancement
  • Develop and deliver training initiatives designed to support upselling, cross-selling, and revenue growth.
  • Track the performance of agents who receive targeted sales training against their pre-training baseline.
  • Work with Operations to identify missed revenue opportunities and create focused training solutions.
  • Report measurable business impact where data is available, including incremental sales, improved conversion, or increased revenue-related KPIs.
  1. Refresher Training
  • Respond to identified training needs from Local Operations Managers.
  • Develop and deliver targeted refresher sessions based on documented performance gaps.
  • Maintain a training calendar covering all three geographies.
  • Ensure important products, process, and sales updates are added to training materials and delivered within agreed timelines.
  1. Client Satisfaction
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, Operations Managers, QA, and Training Leadership.
  • Conduct regular feedback reviews.
  • Achieve an agreed stakeholder satisfaction target, such as 90%+ positive feedback, where a formal survey is used.
  • Address client or operational training concerns promptly and document corrective actions.
  1. Training Quality & Consistency
  • Maintain current and accurate sales training materials for supported programs.
  • Ensure training content is aligned with current products, processes, client requirements, and sales strategies.
  • Review training materials regularly and update them when changes occur.
  • Maintain consistent sales-training standards across Belize, Colombia, and Jamaica.
  1. Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Provide regular reporting on:
    • Training delivered
    • Number of employees trained
    • Assessment results
    • Training needs identified
    • Refresher sessions completed
    • Sales performance trends
    • Training impact
    • Recommendations for improvement
  • Use data and feedback from Operations to continuously improve training programs.
  • Escalate recurring performance issues that require operational, process, or product solutions rather than training alone.
