Everything you are looking for and more 📦

At InPost, we are looking for a Regional Security Manager to lead and drive our security strategy across Spain and Portugal, ensuring the protection of our people, assets, facilities and operations.

Reporting to the Security Director Iberia, you will play a key role in strengthening security standards across our network, managing risks and ensuring business continuity in a dynamic logistics environment. You will oversee physical and electronic security, lead security teams and external providers, manage the departmental budget, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation and InPost Group standards.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on operational responsibility, including security systems management, incident investigations, site audits and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Based in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid), you will travel frequently across Spain and Portugal, covering approximately 50% of the Iberian territory. Availability outside regular working hours and on-call support will also be required.

What responsibilities and objectives will you have?

  • Security Strategy & Risk Management: Define and implement the security strategy for the assigned Iberian territory, aligned with InPost Group objectives. Identify, assess and mitigate risks across facilities, transportation and operational processes, ensuring business continuity and resilience.

  • Team Leadership & Workforce Management: Lead, develop and coordinate security specialists, security guards and auxiliary personnel. Manage workforce planning, schedules, shift coverage, substitutions and team allocation to ensure service continuity and operational efficiency.

  • Budget & Provider Management: Prepare and monitor the annual security budget, optimising costs without compromising protection. Act as the main point of contact for external security providers, overseeing service levels, performance, contractual requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Physical & Electronic Security: Ensure that warehouses, operational hubs and other facilities meet InPost's minimum security standards. Oversee the design, implementation, commissioning and maintenance of CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, alarm and intercom systems, ensuring reliability, interoperability and availability across all sites.

  • Security Systems Administration: Administer security platforms across the network, including user permissions, access rights, system audits and periodic health checks. Apply basic IP networking knowledge to support connectivity between sites and security devices.

  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable Spanish, Portuguese and EU legislation, corporate security policies and relevant international standards, including TAPA and ISO. Develop and implement security procedures, policies and projects across the assigned territory.

  • Audits & Continuous Improvement: Plan and conduct security audits across facilities, identify gaps, implement corrective action plans and monitor progress. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to incident reduction, audit compliance, service quality and system availability.

  • Incident & Crisis Management: Lead incident reporting, assessment, investigation and resolution, coordinating root cause analysis and corrective actions. Manage critical security incidents, coordinate investigations and ensure timely communication with relevant stakeholders. Act as a 24/7 security point of contact for the assigned network.

  • Institutional Relations: Coordinate with law enforcement agencies, judicial authorities and regulatory bodies, managing official requests and supporting investigations when required.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Transportation, Quality, IT, Loss Prevention and Facility Management to embed security into everyday processes and protect the entire logistics value chain.

  • Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Prepare executive reports and communicate security performance, risks, incidents and improvement plans to regional and Group leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication in Spanish and English.

Well, what will the requirements be?

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in senior security roles, preferably within logistics, retail or large-scale physical security operations.

  • University degree in Security, Criminology, Engineering, Law or a related field.

  • Valid Spanish Director de Seguridad (TIP) licence is required.

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience implementing, configuring and administering CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems.

  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing security budgets and coordinating external security providers.

  • Strong knowledge of security risk assessment, incident investigation, crisis management, business continuity and corrective action planning.

  • Working knowledge of basic IP networking to troubleshoot connectivity between sites and security devices. Experience managing security systems across multiple facilities is highly valued.

  • Knowledge of private security legislation and relevant security standards, such as TAPA and ISO 28000.

  • Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting. Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools is an advantage.

  • High level of English (C1) and fluent Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, international teams and external authorities.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to risk prevention, problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Willingness to travel frequently across Spain and Portugal (approximately 40%, typically 2–3 trips per month) and provide out-of-hours and on-call support.
