Nurse Assessor – Truro and other sites across Cornwall (Hybrid)

Salary: Starting at £42,000, plus a 10% bonus

Gaia Recruitment is working with a leading provider of health and disability assessments for the DWP to recruit Nurse Assessors in Ashford. You’ll use your clinical knowledge to carry out functional assessments, helping people access the support they need. This is a hybrid, Monday-to-Friday role with no nights, no weekends and no bank holidays.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out functional assessments of claimants with a range of health conditions and disabilities
• Using your clinical reasoning to understand how a person’s condition affects their daily life
• Writing clear, evidence-based reports to support DWP decision-making
• Treating every claimant with empathy, respect and professionalism

What we’re looking for

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with a current NMC registration and no restrictions
• At least 1 year of post-registration experience
• Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach
• Confident IT skills and good written English
