Registered Nurse Intake

Job Summary Summit Healthcare Staffing is hiring on behalf of a client who is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Intake team at a growing home health organization in Brooklyn, NY . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nurse who enjoys coordinating patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring patients receive a seamless start to home health services. This position begins on-site in Brooklyn, with the opportunity to transition into a remote role based on performance and training. Responsibilities Review and process incoming home health referrals. Verify patient eligibility, insurance coverage, and required authorizations. Coordinate timely admissions to home health services. Ensure referrals meet clinical and regulatory requirements. Communicate with referral sources, physicians, clinicians, and patients to facilitate a smooth admission process. Collaborate with the Billing and Authorization teams to ensure accurate documentation. Maintain compliance with agency policies and state and federal regulations. Compensation- $100,000-$120,000 Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bilingual and able to communicate in Spanish Previous experience in home health, intake, case management, or care coordination preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Experience with insurance verification and authorizations is a plus. Detail-oriented with excellent clinical judgment.
