To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. It facilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City.
Our Culture:
We embrace a culture of learning, collaboration, innovation, and well-being, where open communication drives our impact.
About The Role:

About the Program:
Relay, a nonfatal overdose response system, is an initiative providing 24/7 support to individuals transported to hospital emergency departments (EDs) following a non-fatal opioid overdose. - Coordinate and implement daily and monthly hospital coverage for Relay and ensure it is reflected in relevant automated systems.
- Create daily coverage schedules for distribution that includes the staffing plan for full time Relay Wellness Advocates, part time Relay Wellness Advocates, Supervisors, and Dispatchers.
- Communicate coverage changes to all staff as they occur. Troubleshoot any daily coverage changes or staffing needs by working with the supervisors and Program Manager.
- Plan the monthly staffing coverage in collaboration with the Program Manager and Program Assistant. Use staff availability responses to troubleshoot any overnight/weekend coverage changes and needs throughout the month, working to fill those needs with the guidance of the Program Manager using the existing workflow
- Communicate in a timely manner with team members for their scheduling needs by monitoring the non-human email account, Relay Coverage, for same-day callouts, scheduling conflicts, and planned time off.
