The Reliability Expert will support manufacturing operations across the Americas by driving equipment reliability, maintenance excellence, and asset performance improvement across multiple sites. This role will work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and plant leadership to identify reliability losses, reduce downtime, improve preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and build sustainable reliability systems. The position requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on manufacturing experience, and the ability to translate equipment performance data into practical actions that improve uptime, safety, cost, and operational performance.

Main activities:
- Lead regional reliability improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, equipment failures, maintenance cost, and production losses.
- Analyze equipment performance, failure history, maintenance data, and production losses to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and improve preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, lubrication, inspection, and condition monitoring programs.
- Facilitate root cause analysis, failure mode analysis, bad actor reviews, and corrective action plans for critical equipment issues.
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling practices to improve work execution, backlog management, and maintenance productivity.
- Partner with operations and maintenance teams across Americas sites to improve equipment ownership, operator care, basic equipment conditions, and reliability culture.
- Track reliability KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, schedule compliance, maintenance cost, and asset performance trends.
- Provide remote and on-site support to Americas manufacturing sites, sharing best practices, standardizing reliability processes, and supporting cross-site capability building.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong manufacturing maintenance and reliability experience, preferably in chemical, industrial, at least 10 years of experience..
- Solid knowledge of reliability tools and methods, including RCA, FMEA, PM optimization, condition monitoring, and bad actor elimination.
- Experience with CMMS systems such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar platforms for maintenance planning, work order management, and reliability reporting.
- Fluent in Spanish and in English.
