The Role

Caliber Fitness is seeking a detail oriented and organized Remote Accounting Associate to support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with financial reporting. This full time, fully remote position is ideal for a professional with two to five years of accounting experience who can manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, process invoices, and maintain reliable documentation. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient financial operations through accuracy, confidentiality, organization, and effective communication while supporting a growing digital fitness business.

What You Will Do

• Record and maintan accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and general ledger entries

• Review invoices, receipts, payment requests, and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.

• Assist with bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and the investigation of discrepancies.

• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities by preparing schedules, organizing financial documentation, and verifying account balances.

• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment tracking, account follow up, and documentation of financial activities.

• Maintain organized digital accounting records and ensure financial information is properly classified and accessible to authorized personnel.

• Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, summaries, and supporting schedules for management review

• Help maintain accounting procedures and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Collaborate with finance colleagues and other departments to resolve accounting questions and obtain missing documentation.

• Handle confidential financial information responsibly and complete assigned tasks within established deadlines.

What We Are Looking For

• Two to five years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or a related finance postion

• A degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant professional experience may also be considered.

• Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial documentation, reconciliations, and transaction processing.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets and familiarity with accounting software or cloud based financial systems.

• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and meet deadlines consistently.

• Reliable internet access and a suitable workspace for handling confidential business information.

Bonus Points

• Experience supporting month end closing and preparing financial reports

• Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms, expense management tools, and digital recordkeeping systems.

• Experience improving accounting workflows, documenting procedures, or supporting internal audits.

• Experience working with a distributed team or a technology enabled business
