Remote | AI Finance Domain Expert — $100–$200/hour
24-MAGWe are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced finance professionals with strong backgrounds in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, investment management, or strategic finance to contribute to an advanced AI training and financial evaluation project.
Selected professionals will review and improve AI-generated financial content, design and refine finance-focused prompts, evaluate model outputs against detailed rubrics, and apply professional financial judgement to investment analysis, valuation, due diligence, market research, and related use cases. The role combines financial expertise with rigorous analytical review, professional writing, fact checking, and quality assurance. Prior AI experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Content Evaluation
- Review AI-generated financial content for accuracy, relevance, and professional quality
- Evaluate whether outputs reflect sound financial reasoning
- Identify factual, analytical, or interpretive weaknesses
- Assess consistency with professional finance standards
- Provide clear recommendations for improving financial outputs
Prompt Development & Refinement
- Develop prompts involving financial analysis, valuation, and investment decision-making
- Refine existing prompts to improve clarity and analytical depth
- Design prompts that test complex financial reasoning
- Evaluate how prompt structure affects model performance
- Contribute to development of high-quality finance-focused evaluation tasks
Valuation & Investment Analysis
- Review financial analyses involving valuation and investment decisions
- Evaluate assumptions, reasoning, and supporting calculations
- Assess financial models and investment frameworks for internal consistency
- Identify missing considerations or unsupported conclusions
- Apply professional judgement across realistic finance scenarios
Investment Memos & Due Diligence
- Author and review investment memos
- Evaluate due-diligence reports and research summaries
- Assess whether analyses identify material risks, opportunities, and assumptions
- Improve structure, clarity, and analytical depth
- Ensure written outputs meet professional investment standards
Data Annotation & Rubric-Based Evaluation
- Assess financial data, reports, and model outputs using defined rubrics
- Annotate complex finance examples consistently
- Apply evaluation criteria across repeated assignments
- Identify edge cases requiring additional interpretation
- Support calibration and quality assurance across review workflows
AI Output Evaluation
- Evaluate model outputs for logical consistency and robustness
- Identify reasoning errors, factual inaccuracies, and unsupported claims
- Assess whether responses properly interpret financial information
- Provide structured expert feedback to improve model performance
- Contribute to AI model evaluation and reinforcement-learning workflows
Research & Fact Checking
- Conduct independent research to validate financial information
- Fact-check model-generated statements and supporting claims
- Compare outputs against reliable financial sources where appropriate
- Identify stale, misleading, or incomplete information
- Document findings clearly and precisely
Professional Writing & Technical Editing
- Produce clear investment, research, and business-facing materials
- Edit financial content for precision, structure, and readability
- Improve technical and business documentation
- Translate complex analysis into concise professional writing
- Maintain high editorial standards across project deliverables
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, equity research, corporate development, investment management, or strategic finance
- Strong financial-analysis and investment-judgement skills
- Experience producing investment memos, valuation analyses, financial models, due-diligence reports, or market research
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical reasoning
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication and professional editing skills
- Strong technical and business writing ability
- Experience interpreting complex financial data
- Strong independent research and fact-checking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance
- Experience with prompt authoring or prompt engineering is advantageous
- Experience with data annotation, content review, or AI/model-output evaluation is a strong advantage
- Familiarity with rubric-based evaluation or RLHF workflows is beneficial
- Master's, JD, MBA, PhD, or another advanced degree is advantageous but not required
- No prior AI-training experience is required
Engagement Details
- Part-time independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote
- Compensation: $100–$200/hour
- Work will involve financial analysis, valuation, prompt development, investment research, due diligence, AI-output evaluation, fact checking, data annotation, and professional editing
- Strong financial judgement and analytical reasoning are central to this engagement
- Assignments may involve investment memos, financial models, valuation work, market research, due-diligence materials, model outputs, and rubric-based evaluations
- Prior AI or prompt-engineering experience is helpful but not required
- Project scope, workload, finance topics, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
- Work must be completed without using confidential, proprietary, or material non-public information belonging to any employer, client, fund, financial institution, portfolio company, or other third party
