Job Summary: We are seeking a Remote Authorization Specialist (Afternoon-Evening or Weekends) to manage and monitor patient authorizations, ensuring accurate records, timely processing, and continuity of home care services and billing. The role will use HHAeXchange and related systems to review authorization information, monitor utilization and expiration dates, identify discrepancies, and coordinate their resolution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with multiple departments. Strong communication, follow-up, problem-solving, and accuracy are essential for success in this role. Available to work either of the following schedules: Schedule Option 1: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, with weekends off; Schedule Option 2: Saturday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain patient authorizations in HHAeXchange. Review authorization documentation for accuracy and completeness. Monitor authorization status, utilization, and expiration dates. Identify, document, and communicate discrepancies or authorization-related issues. Review authorization reports and take timely action on identified issues. Coordinate with internal departments and billing partners to resolve authorization and billing issues. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Follow up on outstanding issues through resolution and escalate when necessary. Ensure authorization information supports appropriate service delivery and billing. Perform other duties related to the position as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements: Proficient level of English (written and spoken). Proficient level of Spanish (written and spoken). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, vendors, and teammates. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant administrative experience preferred. Experience working with electronic systems and data entry. Ability to quickly learn HHAeXchange, payer portals, and other similar CRM. Available to work either of the following schedules: Schedule Option 1: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, with weekends off; Schedule Option 2: Saturday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving, follow-up, and time-management skills. Comfortable working independently and collaborating across departments. Professional, reliable, and team-oriented. Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Ability to quickly learn new systems, software, and workflows. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and standard business tools (email, spreadsheets, document management). Out-of-the-box thinker, highly adaptable, reliable, self-motivated, and confident approach. Positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Ability to understand and follow established processes accurately with minimal supervision. Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time (New York) business hours and adapt to business needs. Interested in long-term career opportunities. Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet. Compensation & Benefits: 100% remote work. Compensation in USD. Full-time position with 40 hours weekly. Schedule Option 1: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, with weekends off; Schedule Option 2: Saturday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–10:00 PM.
