Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer at NSC, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with fixed working hours from 8AM to 5PM Vietnam time.
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our production infrastructure, security & compliance posture, and engineering systems automation. This role is critical to ensuring our platform runs reliably, securely, and efficiently, while continuously improving the tooling and processes that support our engineering teams.
Main responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, deploy, and support the production platform to ensure high availability and performance.
- Respond to and resolve operational incidents, service reliability issues, and infrastructure-related problems in a timely manner.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement infrastructure improvement initiatives to enhance system stability, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support production systems as needed.
- Support infrastructure security initiatives, including vulnerability management, remediation, and verification processes.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement and maintain required security controls across infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date security- and compliance-related operating guides, records, and evidence for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify and address security gaps or risks within the infrastructure.
- Maintain and administer source control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance of engineering tools, environments, and supporting infrastructure.
- Build and improve automation to streamline deployment, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Monitor engineering systems for performance and reliability, and provide operational support as needed.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for engineering tools, systems, and processes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience operating and maintaining production infrastructure (cloud and/or on-premise).
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline management (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure security practices, vulnerability management, and remediation processes.
- Experience maintaining compliance-related documentation and evidence (e.g., for SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks).
- Proficiency with source control systems (Git) and related administration.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong scripting/automation skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
- Strong incident response and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure during production issues.
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) at a senior/advanced level.
- Prior experience supporting audits or compliance certifications directly.
- Experience working in regulated industries where security and compliance requirements are strict.
- Familiarity with secrets management tools (e.g., Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
