Remote Founding Software Engineer

We are seeking a founding Software Engineer to join a highly collaborative team working on innovative government welfare technology.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and enhancing mobile and web applications using React, React Native, and native iOS/Android technologies
• Working with AWS services to deploy and manage infrastructure
• Building secure, scalable systems aligned with compliance standards such as SOC2, HIPAA, and CJIS
• Integrating with government databases and generating data-driven insights for stakeholders
• Creating UI components in partnership with designers to optimize user experience
• Solving complex technical challenges and contributing to feature development, including new communication methods and data frameworks
• Potentially managing interns and developing leadership skills within a fast-paced startup environment

Qualifications and skills include:

• Proficiency in React/React Native and native app development for iOS and Android
• Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure
• Background in startup environments or bringing products from concept to launch
• Additional expertise in security engineering, compliance, or govtech is a plus
• Experience with full-stack development, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and communication platforms
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project needs
