REMOTE GEOSTEERER Fully Remote • Fort Stockton , TX 79735 Apply Apply Description Job Title: Remote Geosteerer Department: Geosteering Operations Location: Remote Reports To: Remote Geosteering Supervisor Date: 8/11/2025 Version: 1.0 Position Overview Step into a role where your expertise shapes decisions in real time. As a Remote Geosteerer with Impac Exploration Services, Inc., you won’t just monitor wells from a distance—you’ll make real-time decisions, collaborating closely with drilling engineers, directional drillers, and geology peers in a virtual environment built for fast, precise execution. This is more than a job. It’s an opportunity to: Influence the outcome of high-value drilling projects in real time. Gain unmatched visibility into the inner workings of multiple operators’ drilling programs. Build a strong career foundation in both geosteering and broader operational geology. Key Responsibilities Provide real-time geosteering guidance to optimize wellbore placement, working closely with drilling and directional teams. Master and follow each operator’s established Standard Operating Procedures. Thrive in collaborative team structures, ensuring seamless coordination between geology and drilling functions. Complete geological side projects, special studies, and operational initiatives during non-drilling intervals. Integrate geological interpretations into drilling decisions and proactively recommend adjustments to improve performance. Uphold rigorous QA/QC standards for all geosteering and geological analyses. Use cross sections to anticipate casing points, coring intervals, and adjustments to landing targets. Remain agile in responding to shifting priorities and operational demands. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field. Prior experience in geosteering or operations geology. Strong understanding of drilling operations and how geological interpretations influence drilling dynamics. Experience working in collaborative, high-performance team environments. Proficiency with geosteering software (e.g., StarSteer, ZoneVu) and geological databases; ability to quickly learn new tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy. Authorization to work in the U.S. Work Environment & Schedule Remote role: work from a private, distraction-free home office. Rotational schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off , rotating between day and night shifts. Reporting Structure Reports to the Remote Geosteering Supervisor , contributing to a fully integrated team focused on drilling excellence and operational performance.
