Remote | Human Data Manager — $40–$60/hour

We are sharing a full-time opportunity for an experienced Human Data Manager with strong expertise in project management, data operations, quality analysis, workflow optimisation, and human-data systems to support advanced AI training and operational initiatives.

The role focuses on designing and managing reliable data workflows, improving operational performance, analysing datasets, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating cross-functional work. It is well suited to candidates with strong technical aptitude, operational judgement, and experience improving data-intensive processes. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Human Data Operations

• Design and manage workflows for data annotation, collection, processing, and analysis
• Support reliable execution across human-data operations
• Monitor workflow performance and identify operational issues
• Maintain consistency across high-volume data processes
• Help ensure outputs meet project quality and accuracy requirements

Project Management

• Coordinate projects across operational and analytical workstreams
• Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and blockers
• Maintain visibility into project progress and execution risks
• Support timely delivery across distributed teams
• Drive accountability for assigned operational initiatives

Data Workflow Design

• Build structured and repeatable data workflows
• Define processes from intake through review and completion
• Identify opportunities to streamline manual steps
• Improve scalability and operational reliability
• Support effective handoffs across project stages

KPI Development & Monitoring

• Establish operational KPIs
• Track quality, throughput, efficiency, and related metrics
• Identify performance trends and emerging issues
• Translate metrics into actionable recommendations
• Support data-driven operational decision-making

Data Analysis

• Analyse datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities
• Investigate operational or quality-related issues
• Develop clear analytical summaries
• Translate findings into practical recommendations
• Support prioritisation through quantitative insights

Quality Analysis & Validation

• Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
• Support quality-control and validation procedures
• Identify recurring error patterns
• Recommend corrective actions and workflow improvements
• Maintain strong quality standards across deliverables

Reporting & Documentation

• Develop and maintain reporting frameworks
• Track key operational metrics and workflow improvements
• Document project decisions and operating processes
• Prepare clear updates for internal stakeholders
• Maintain structured records supporting continuity and accountability

Process Optimisation

• Continuously assess operational workflows
• Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Recommend improvements to increase speed and reliability
• Support implementation of revised processes
• Measure the impact of workflow changes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with technical, operational, analytical, and business teams
• Align data workflows with broader project objectives
• Communicate issues and findings clearly
• Coordinate priorities across distributed stakeholders
• Contribute proactively to problem solving

AI & Human-in-the-Loop Support

• Support data workflows used in AI and machine-learning initiatives
• Coordinate annotation and human-review processes
• Help maintain reliable datasets supporting AI training and evaluation
• Contribute to human-in-the-loop operational systems
• Support continuous improvement of AI-related data workflows

Ideal Profile

• Demonstrated experience in data analysis, annotation, workflow optimisation, or related operational work
• Strong technical aptitude
• Familiarity with data operations and process improvement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Collaborative working style
• Ability to take ownership of operational challenges
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in increasing efficiency and improving workflows
• Engineering or technical background with an operational focus is advantageous
• Experience with human-data projects is beneficial
• Familiarity with Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar data-visualisation tools is valuable
• Familiarity with Python or SQL is advantageous
• Experience in data management, AI/ML, or process optimisation is beneficial
• No prior AI-training experience is required
