Remote Insurance Sales Representative - State Farm Agent Team Member
About the Role
Mike Nichols State Farm, based in Kewanee, Illinois, is adding a licensed insurance sales professional who works from home. This seat is built for someone who already knows how a State Farm office runs and wants a bigger share of what they sell. You will spend your day talking with people about their coverage, and your paycheck grows with every policy you place. Work from anywhere in the country while keeping our Central Time office schedule.
What Your Week Looks Like
- Reaching out by phone to prospects and current customers to start coverage conversations
- Quoting and selling property, casualty, and life coverage and walking people through their options
- Booking follow-up calls and keeping each opportunity moving until it closes or is ruled out
- Logging every conversation and next step so the team always knows where a household stands
- Hitting the weekly call and sales targets you set with Mike
- Staying sharp with ongoing product and sales training
This Will Fit You If
- You would rather be paid for results than for showing up
- Picking up the phone to call someone new does not slow you down
- A "not right now" just means you will follow up later
This Will Not Fit You If
- You want a day without numbers to hit
- You would prefer handling service requests over building new business
What You Need
- At least two years working in a State Farm agency (required)
- Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses (required; we cannot consider unlicensed applicants)
- Availability to work Central Time office hours
- A quiet home workspace and dependable high-speed internet
- Confident, friendly phone skills and the self-motivation to keep your pipeline full
- Openness to coaching and a team-first attitude
What We Offer
- Base salary with uncapped commission on what you sell
- SIMPLE IRA with an employer match
- Health insurance
- Life insurance
- Paid vacation, sick, and personal days
- 12 paid federal holidays (the office is closed)
- Room to grow into larger roles as you produce
Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 per year
That figure is projected total pay once goals are met: base salary plus commission and bonuses. Your base depends on your experience and licenses, and because commission has no cap, top producers earn well above the range.
This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Qualifications to be employees of a State Farm agent are established by each independent contractor agent. By applying/accepting a position with an independent contractor agent, you are not promised, guaranteed, or given a special preference in the selection process to become an independent contractor agent for the State Farm Insurance Companies. State Farm agents are independent contractors who hire their own employees. State Farm agents' employees are not employees of State Farm. Agents are responsible for and make all employment decisions regarding their employees. Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.
