Remote Medical Assistant

The Award Winning Speech Momi LLC, a staple in the therapeutic community, is growing its online Remote Medical Assistant team. Under the direction and supervision of Speech Momi's Director, the Certified Medical Assistant assists in supplementing, enhancing, and extending the promotion of health therapy services by completing a variety of tasks such as, but not limited to, assisting the RN with building and maintaining patient care to expand Speech Momi's healthcare operating procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts daily telephonic outreach to patients, families and industry partners to support the company's wellness operations; Fields inbound calls from prospective and existing clients, disseminating queries to team members; Assists with medication follow-up as directed by the RN; Schedules and confirms patient appointments, including weekly patient care reminders; Supports the patients and families with necessary paperwork to ensure they are matched with the right level of care; Performs various clerical or administrative functions, such as collecting copays and gathering insurance related documentation; Compiles medical records and reports to support patient care integration with referring physicians/providers; Prepares reports, diagnosis letters, return to school/work forms, invoices, financial statements, letters, case histories, and/or medical records upon request Education and Experience: Degree from an Accredited Medical Assistant program Licenses and Certificates: Current registration as a Medical Assistant Knowledge of: Healthcare, equipment, materials, and procedures; Plans of Care, medical codes and treatment planning; Learning patterns in both children and adults; Behavior management techniques and strategies; Routine record keeping.
