Black Rock Trial Lawyers is seeking an experienced, highly organized Personal Injury Paralegal based in Colombia, preferably in Bogotá, to join our team full-time

.

This is a direct position with Black Rock Trial Lawyers, not a staffing agency or outsourcing company. You will work remotely from your home in Colombia as an integral member of our Personal Injury Department

.

We are looking for someone who already understands the personal injury process and can step into the role with meaningful prior experience

.

REQUIRED EXPERIENC

E

Candidates must have at least 2+ years of experience working in plaintiff-side personal injury pre-litigation

.

Strong preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with a Florida personal injury law firm or other U.S.-based law firm

.

You should have hands-on experience with several of the following

:

• Preparing personal injury settlement and disbursement sheet

s• Preparing final settlement breakdowns for client

s• Reviewing medical bills, balances, liens, and settlement figure

s• Contacting medical providers regarding outstanding balance

s• Negotiating medical bill reduction

s• Negotiating and resolving medical lien

s• Obtaining final lien information before disbursemen

t• Working with Medicare and Medicaid lien

s• Establishing and managing claims through CMS/Medicare-related portals and processe

s• Requesting and following up on medical records and medical bill

s• Performing medical bill retrieval and verificatio

n• Communicating with medical providers, insurance adjusters, lienholders, and client

s• Assisting attorneys and case managers with personal injury settlement negotiation

s• Tracking personal injury cases through the pre-suit proces

s• Monitoring settlement, lien-resolution, disbursement, and closing deadline

s• Maintaining detailed and accurate case notes and documentatio

n• Helping move settled cases efficiently from settlement through final client disbursemen

t

EDUCATIO

N

We strongly prefer candidates who

:

• Have earned a law degree in Colombia, o

r• Are licensed attorneys in Colombia

.

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and have a strong working command of English, including
