Remote | Senior Accountant Expert — $58–$110/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced accounting professionals with strong expertise in financial reporting, audit procedures, financial modelling, tax compliance, and financial document review to contribute to an advanced AI training and financial evaluation project.

Selected professionals will review and assess complex financial materials, evaluate accounting and audit practices, analyse financial models and compliance documentation, and provide detailed feedback grounded in established accounting standards. The work requires strong professional judgement, analytical depth, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings clearly across both technical and cross-functional contexts. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Statement Review

• Review, evaluate, and annotate financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness
• Assess financial information against established accounting standards and professional practices
• Identify inconsistencies, omissions, unsupported assumptions, and reporting weaknesses
• Provide clear explanations for identified accounting issues
• Apply professional judgement across complex financial scenarios

Audit Procedures & Compliance Evaluation

• Review and critique audit procedures across a range of business situations
• Identify gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities to improve audit quality
• Evaluate procedures against relevant regulatory and professional considerations
• Assess tax-compliance practices and supporting documentation
• Highlight potential compliance risks, inconsistencies, or documentation deficiencies

Financial Modelling & Analytical Review

• Create, review, and assess financial models for accuracy and logical structure
• Evaluate assumptions, calculations, dependencies, and model outputs
• Identify modelling errors and weaknesses that could affect decision-making
• Assess whether models provide meaningful and actionable financial insights
• Apply strong analytical judgement to complex quantitative scenarios

Document Review & Expert Feedback

• Review legal and financial documents for clarity, correctness, and regulatory alignment
• Provide detailed written and verbal feedback on project materials
• Explain technical accounting and financial issues clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
• Deliver constructive recommendations that are specific and actionable
• Maintain high standards of consistency, precision, and professional documentation

AI Training & Data Evaluation

• Support development and evaluation of datasets used for AI training
• Apply accounting expertise to data annotation, labelling, or model-evaluation workflows
• Assess financial outputs for accuracy, completeness, and professional quality
• Identify recurring weaknesses or reasoning errors in evaluated material
• Contribute domain-specific judgement to improve the quality of financial training data

Ideal Profile

• 5+ years of corporate-level accounting experience
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex financial and accounting scenarios
• Strong proficiency in financial reporting and financial-statement analysis
• Practical experience with audit procedures and regulatory considerations
• Strong financial-modelling skills
• Familiarity with tax-compliance review and financial documentation
• Experience reviewing legal or financially significant documents is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to provide clear, actionable written and verbal feedback
• Prior participation in human-data projects involving data labelling, annotation, RLHF, or model evaluation is advantageous
• Ability to work reliably both independently and within collaborative project environments
• No prior experience in AI training is required

• Independent contractor engagement
• Fully remote
• Compensation: $58–$110/hour
• Work will involve financial-reporting review, audit-procedure evaluation, financial modelling, tax-compliance analysis, document review, and expert feedback
• Strong professional accounting experience and sound financial judgement are central to this engagement
• Prior human-data or AI-evaluation experience is beneficial but not mandatory
• Project scope, workload, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project requirements
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party
