Remote Senior Software Engineer II, Logistics Foundation

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead high-impact platform initiatives within our Logistics Foundation team.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning and driving complex platform workstreams from design to support.
• Building and maintaining scalable, distributed backend services with clear SLOs, observability, and incident management.
• Refining architecture and leading the development of reliable, scalable systems.
• Establishing engineering standards through design reviews and production readiness.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and balance urgency with maintainability.
• Driving adoption of modern technologies and AI tools, mentoring peers, and influencing platform roadmaps.
• Contributing to critical fulfillment domains impacting customers and partners.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in languages such as Ruby, Python, or Go.
• Experience with large-scale distributed backend services, observability, and incident response.
• Strong leadership in cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred skills include:

• Experience with compliance-sensitive systems, geospatial technologies, and marketplace logistics.
• Knowledge of system performance optimization and AI integration.
• Experience working across teams to implement platform-wide solutions.
