Remote Sensing Technician Baton Rouge Annex - Baton Rouge, LA 70809 Apply Apply Description Forte and Tablada, Inc. is seeking a motivated and technically proficient individual for a beginner-level position within our Remote Sensing group. The Remote Sensing Technician will play a crucial role in our mission to provide innovative infrastructure solutions by assisting in both the collection of high-accuracy geospatial data in the field and the subsequent processing and modeling of that data in our office. This hybrid role is ideal for a quick learner with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and a passion for working with cutting-edge technology. The successful candidate will be exposed to a wide range of technologies, including terrestrial, aerial, and mobile LiDAR, photogrammetry, and hydrographic surveys, and will be integral to turning raw measurements into valuable deliverables for our clients. This is an entry-level position with significant potential for growth. A successful Remote Sensing Technician will have the opportunity to develop into a specialist role in a specific technology. Key Responsibilities Assist in the field with the operation and deployment of various data collection equipment. Participate in field operations that may take place in a variety of environments. Utilize specialized software to post-process datasets, generating and refining 3D point clouds and models. Contribute to the production of final deliverables. Maintaining and upkeep of remote sensing equipment. Qualifications Required Qualifications Basic computer and software understanding. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and workflows. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with an aptitude for troubleshooting technical issues. Willingness to work in both an indoor office environment and various outdoor field environments. Must be flexible and able to travel out of town and out of state. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy Physical Qualifications Standing 25% Walking 25% Sitting 50% Lifting 50 lb.
