Job Description

Remote Snowstorm Dispatcher — Seasonal / As Needed

SnowWorX provides commercial snow and ice removal services in the northeastern United States. We are hiring four experienced remote dispatchers for seasonal, as-needed storm coverage during winter 2026–2027.

We need people who can actively coordinate field teams, track progress and follow through on urgent problems while remaining calm and accurate.

This is a live dispatch role. It is not a general virtual assistant position.

Coverage

  • North primary dispatcher
  • North relief dispatcher
  • South primary dispatcher
  • South relief dispatcher

Normally one active dispatcher covers North and one covers South during storms. Longer events use rotation. All four will be cross-trained on both teams.

Schedule and pay

  • $19 USD per hour for active dispatch work.
  • Weather-dependent shifts generally range from approximately 5 to 12 hours.
  • Extended storms use rotating coverage with arranged breaks and documented handoffs.
  • Availability may include days, nights, weekends and holidays based on U.S. Eastern Time.
  • No guaranteed weekly hours. You must commit to agreed coverage windows and fully focus on each accepted shift.
  • Required training is paid. Training terms will be provided before acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor crew communications, GPS, work orders, service photos and property status. Track arrivals, progress, delays and completion.
  • Relay approved instructions and confirm acknowledgment. Flag no-shows, breakdowns, material shortages, service concerns and approaching deadlines.
  • Escalate issues to the Snow Commander, record ownership and next actions, and follow up until resolution is confirmed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and hand off all open matters. Work within company procedures and approved authority, using our digital and AI-supported tools.

Requirements

  • Experience in live fleet, field-service, towing, delivery, emergency or comparable dispatch.
  • Clear spoken and written English; strong listening, prioritization and computer skills.
  • Experience handling U.S. operations is helpful. Trucking applicants must explain their live driver coordination experience in addition to any load-booking work.
  • Reliable computer, at least two monitors, noise-canceling headset, quiet workspace, high-speed internet with backup, suitable power backup and smartphone.
  • Required company time tracking applies.

Selection process

  1. Application and prescreen
  2. Original 2–3 minute voice screening
  3. Skills review
  4. Interview with Amy
  5. Paid practical dispatch assessment
  6. Internal verification and operational approvals
  7. Final hiring approval from Chris before any offer

Do not promise or expect standby pay, guaranteed shifts, or unapproved compensation terms.

This is a remote position.
