Remote Software Engineer – Data Infrastructure & Acquisition

Role Overview:

Seeking a Software Engineer to support data collection and management for AI model training. Responsibilities include sourcing audio data, operating and enhancing cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform, and collaborating with scientists and leadership to develop datasets that enable next-generation products. The role involves building high-quality datasets at scale, optimizing cost and throughput, and integrating infrastructure, engineering, and research efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Proficiency with bash/Python scripting in Linux environments
• Experience with Docker, Infrastructure-as-Code, and cloud platforms (preferably GCP)
• Knowledge of web crawlers and large-scale data workflows is a plus
• Strong communication skills and adaptability

Key Duties:

• Identify and integrate new audio data sources into ingestion pipelines
• Manage and extend cloud infrastructure for data operations
• Collaborate on dataset roadmap to support innovative products
