Remote | UI/UX Designer — $30–$80/hour

We are sharing a specialised consulting opportunity for experienced UI/UX Designers with strong expertise in graphic design, interface design, typography, Figma, and digital product experiences to contribute to an advanced AI training and design evaluation project.

Selected professionals will create and evaluate visual assets, interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and design systems while providing structured feedback on usability, visual quality, and interaction design. The work requires strong design judgement, clear communication, and the ability to explain design decisions precisely. No prior experience in AI is required.

Key Responsibilities

UI/UX Design & Interface Development

• Design visually compelling interfaces aligned with user needs and project objectives
• Create and refine wireframes, prototypes, and production-ready interface concepts
• Apply strong interaction-design and usability principles across digital products
• Translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
• Maintain consistency across screens, components, and interaction patterns

Graphic Design & Visual Systems

• Create polished graphics, layouts, and supporting visual assets
• Apply typography, colour theory, spacing, hierarchy, and composition effectively
• Develop visual systems that support clarity, usability, and brand consistency
• Evaluate designs for balance, readability, and visual coherence
• Maintain a high standard of craft across both interface and graphic-design work

Figma & Design Systems

• Use Figma to create, organise, and refine design deliverables
• Build and maintain reusable components and structured design systems
• Develop prototypes that clearly communicate intended user flows and interactions
• Apply consistent component, spacing, and typography standards
• Support scalable design workflows through well-structured files and libraries

Design Evaluation & Feedback

• Review design iterations and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide precise, constructive feedback on usability, hierarchy, typography, and interaction
• Assess whether designs meet intended user and project objectives
• Explain design trade-offs and decisions clearly
• Incorporate feedback efficiently across iterative review cycles

Documentation & Remote Collaboration

• Document design processes, assumptions, and decisions clearly
• Communicate design rationale effectively in written and verbal formats
• Collaborate with distributed teams in remote and asynchronous environments
• Deliver work according to defined project milestones
• Contribute practical insight into user interaction and usability best practices

Ideal Profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, or a closely related discipline
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality digital-product and visual-design work
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma
• Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, interfaces, and design systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to articulate design decisions and provide constructive feedback
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency
• Comfortable working independently in remote environments
• Self-motivated and capable of managing design work with limited supervision
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive-design principles is advantageous
• No prior AI-training or model-evaluation experience is required

• Compensation: $30–$80/hour
• Work will involve UI/UX design, graphic design, typography, Figma-based prototyping, design systems, and structured design evaluation
• Strong visual judgement and digital-product experience are central to this engagement
• Remote collaboration, feedback implementation, and design documentation will form an important part of the workflow
• Project scope, workload, design requirements, and evaluation standards may evolve depending on project needs
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, agency, institution, or other third party
