Some clients know exactly where they want to go. Others only know that they want a beach, a cruise, a romantic escape, or a family vacation that everyone will enjoy. The Remote Vacation Specialist helps clients narrow down their choices and find an experience that fits their preferences, expectations, and budget.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys asking questions, comparing options, and helping people make confident decisions. You do not need previous travel-industry experience. Training, planning resources, and continued education are provided.
What You Will Do
You will speak with clients to learn what they want from their vacation. This includes discussing their preferred dates, approximate budget, departure location, accommodation needs, activities, and overall expectations.
Using the information provided, you will research appropriate cruises, resorts, hotels, vacation packages, and destination experiences. Instead of overwhelming clients with dozens of choices, you will identify a small selection of options that best match their needs.
You will explain the important differences between those options, answer general questions, and help the client decide which experience is right for them. Once the client is ready, you will assist with the reservation process, verify details, organize confirmation information, and track applicable payment deadlines.
You will also provide preparation reminders, communicate relevant reservation updates, maintain confidential client records, and follow up after the client returns. Building positive relationships, earning referrals, and providing dependable service are important parts of the role.
