If you’re curious, motivated, and eager to grow your technical capabilities while contributing to meaningful energy projects, we invite you to build your career with VHB. Energy Evolution Practice | VHB

  • Prepare technical reports and design calculations that clearly communicate engineering approaches and support regulatory review.
  • Coordinate across disciplines to integrate civil design with environmental considerations and overall project objectives.

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks while staying connected to team priorities.
  • Interest in the evolving energy sector and the role of civil engineering in delivering sustainable, resilient infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a thoughtful approach to site-specific design challenges.
  • Experience with or exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Experience with or exposure to stormwater analysis and design software, such as HydroCAD, StormWise (ICPR4), StormCAD and FlowMaster, or similar tools.
  • A proactive approach to learning, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to organize assignments, respond to feedback, and coordinate deliverables with the project team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant energy civil engineering or land development experience.
