Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSW
Job category: Projects
Job reference number: 112480
Employment type: Permanent Full-Time
Salary range: $124810.0-$139787.0

You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building.

This is your opportunity to broaden your experience and perspectives, step out of the confines of a standard project role and expand your scope to work with an interconnected ecosystem of industry professionals.

In this role, you'll:

Join our collaborative Rail Property team and help manage property across the Country Regional Network (CRN), one of the largest and most diverse rail portfolios in NSW. Owned by Transport Asset Manager of NSW (TAM) and operated and maintained by UGL Regional Linx (UGLRL). The CRN spans regional NSW and connects passenger and freight services with metropolitan and interstate rail networks.

The CRN portfolio includes more than 5,500 kilometres of operational and non-operational rail lines, approximately 27,000 hectares of land and around 1,200 property assets.

Working closely with our rail infrastructure manager (UGLRL) and internal stakeholders, you will assess third party requests to lease, licence or renew the use of CRN property and vacant land, prepare clear recommendations for TAM and support improvements to property management processes.

You will work across a fast paced, multi-stakeholder environment, balancing operational, safety, commercial and stakeholder considerations while building strong relationships across Transport for NSW, UGLRL and other external organisations.

This role offers broad exposure to a unique and geographically diverse rail property portfolio across NSW, with opportunities to build your property, commercial and stakeholder management skills and gain experience acting in more senior roles.

This is a permanent hybrid role, with five days per month at a Transport for NSW office of your choice and a further five days at either your home office or another Transport for NSW location. You will have the choice to work from home on the other days

About you

You’re recognised as a collaborative problem solver who can build strong relationships, influence outcomes and exercise sound judgement in a complex environment.

Tertiary qualifications in/or equivalent professional experience within assessing property, leasing, licensing, commercial, property renewals or project related matters, with the ability to translate detailed information into clear, practical recommendations.

You will also demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
