Research manager

Dear mathematics community,

Are you ready to make a comeback to mathematical research, this time in a supervisor role?

We are developing a startup, Talmenta, to transition mathematical research worldwide from the master-apprentice model to a management-based system. We do this because most professors are incapable of integrating AI engineers into their teams, and only real managers like you can handle the complexity arising from the diverse talents and backgrounds.

As a research manager, you will supervise approximately 10–30 mathematicians (and hopefully AI engineers soon!) across several projects. Each of these projects is carried out for a client, who is a domain-level expert and will provide you with scientific advice. In other words, you are expected to be an excellent supervisor, not a domain expert!
