Research Manager

We are strengthening our leadership team in Research. We are hiring a Research & Discovery Leader who can help us push the boundaries of what is technically possible in research for mobile devices and digital forensics.

The job

Your mission is to enable discovery by creating an environment in which exceptional security researchers can find answers that nobody had at the outset.

You will establish direction, identify the right problems to solve and create the conditions for researchers to explore, experiment and challenge established assumptions.

A key part is to give the team freedom in how to approach problems while maintaining clarity around why the work matters, what we need to achieve and where we should focus our efforts.

You will help the team turn complex, previously unsolved technical challenges into new knowledge, innovative approaches and reliable capabilities that create real value for our products and customers.

What you will bring to us

We want to hear you tell us about your ability to lead highly capable tech teams working on complex, ambiguous or novel problems. You can combine strategic perspective with the ability to engage in detailed technical discussions. Your leadership style is built on trust, intellectual curiosity, and you have the courage to help turn uncertainty into informed next steps.

You can distinguish meaningful progress from activity without direction, recognize a promising line of investigation, assess technical risks and understand trade-offs.

We believe you are a strong communicator with ability to translate technical discoveries into organizational and product value for MSAB and our clients. You will help the team persist when conventional approaches fail and explore new ways to address complex mobile security and forensic challenges.
