Role Description The Research Project Member will contribute to ongoing bioinformatics and computational research projects, supporting activities such as dataset preparation, analysis, interpretation, and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with project design, running computational workflows, summarizing results into clear reports or presentations, and collaborating with other researchers to refine methodologies and troubleshoot technical challenges. The role also involves contributing to manuscript drafting, literature reviews, and maintaining organized records of project progress and findings. This is a remote role, offering flexibility while requiring reliable communication and timely delivery of assigned tasks. The position is intended as a research-focused role with regular engagement in cross-functional project meetings and collaborative work. Qualifications
Foundational knowledge in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related scientific discipline, with the ability to support genome, WGS, and molecular analysis workflows.
Experience or strong interest in in-silico methods such as vaccine design, drug design, molecular docking, or DFT analysis.
Competence in scientific research practices, including literature review, data interpretation, and preparation of research summaries or manuscripts.
Basic familiarity with scripting or data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, or similar), and comfort working with computational pipelines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to present scientific information clearly.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively within a distributed research team.
Relevant academic background (e.g., pursuing or holding a degree in bioinformatics, biology, biotechnology, computer science, or related field); prior research or project experience is an advantage.
