Seeking a Compassionate Respiratory Registered Nurse in Paducah, KY
(Murray area)


Impact to Health is seeking a compassionate and patient‑centered Respiratory Registered Nurse or Respiratory Therapist to join our clients Call Center team.

In this role, you provide telephonic clinical support that directly impacts patient health, comfort, and confidence. You will guide patients, caregivers, and field staff through respiratory equipment use, CPAP compliance, and troubleshooting with empathy and clarity—offering reassurance during moments when patients may feel uncertain or overwhelmed. Your ability to listen, educate, and support remotely plays a vital role in improving respiratory outcomes and ensuring patients feel cared for, even from a distance.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities


· Provide compassionate, patient‑centered telephonic support within a 24/7 call center rotation, offering calm and reassuring guidance during after‑hours needs.

· Conduct empathetic phone consultations for AHCC locations, helping patients and caregivers navigate respiratory concerns with clarity and confidence.

· Counsel and re‑educate non‑compliant CPAP patients with encouragement and understanding, reinforcing the health benefits of therapy and addressing barriers with sensitivity.

· Gather information from patients, caregivers, and field personnel regarding equipment concerns, troubleshooting issues with patience and a supportive approach.

· Enroll patients into CPAP compliance programs, explaining the purpose and benefits in a way that empowers and reassures.

· Maintain a working knowledge of basic insurance guidelines to help support patient needs and care continuity.

· Maintain all required licensure, certifications, and continuing education to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based respiratory support.

· Determine when a physical visit is necessary after all remote measures have been exhausted, coordinating care with empathy and urgency to protect patient wellbeing.

· Monitor patient progress according to insurance guidelines and established timelines, advocating for patient health throughout the compliance process.

· Protect patient and company information with diligence, ensuring confidentiality and trust in every interaction.

· Provide clinical support to field personnel, offering guidance and troubleshooting assistance that strengthens patient care across the organization.

· Deliver patient education with compassion—covering equipment use, maintenance, safety, therapy expectations, and the importance of compliance.

· Review manufacturer systems for compliance tracking to support accurate, patient‑centered follow‑up.

· Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure patients receive reliable, empathetic, and clinically sound respiratory support.


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm CST

On‑Call: At this time, the on‑call rotation runs every 4–6 weeks, covering from Friday at 5:00 p.m. CST through Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. CST, depending on staffing and business needs.

Requirements

Required Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Credentials as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care/therapy or related science is preferred; nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure laws
  • Maintain CEUs as required by state law, and if not required by state law, then maintain a minimum of 4 CEUs per year
  • May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location
  • Experience with home respiratory care, preferred
  • One year of related work experience, preferred
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check, drug screening, compliance onboarding, and credentialing requirements, as well as maintaining a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record when applicable to the position.
