Help shape how StarTech.com grows on Amazon.
We’re looking for a commercially minded Amazon Advertising expert to grow revenue, strengthen our brand presence and improve profitability across North America.
Reporting to the Manager, Global Marketing, you’ll own regional retail media strategy, investment and performance. You’ll work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Content, Data and Finance to connect advertising, organic visibility and retail execution.
This is a currently available opportunity with StarTech.com.
What you will be responsible for:
- Lead Amazon advertising strategy: Plan and optimize Sponsored Ads, DSP, Brand Stores and off-site campaigns across the customer journey.
- Own investment and results: Manage budgets across categories, products and markets to improve revenue, profitability, total advertising cost of sales (TACOS), return on ad spend (ROAS), and new-to-brand customer growth.
- Reach consumer and business buyers: Develop audience strategies using Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC), including opportunities through Amazon Business.
- Improve creative and customer experience: Test advertising creative and video, optimize Brand Stores and turn performance insights into better campaigns.
- Support product launches: Build plans for the first 90 days of new product launches, using Amazon and other relevant channels.
- Turn data into action: Analyze campaign performance, customer journeys and incrementality to guide targeting, creative and budget decisions. Evaluate AI and automation tools with appropriate human oversight.
- Build strong partnerships: Align media with content, availability, promotions and commercial priorities, working with internal teams, Amazon account teams and partners such as Pacvue.
What you will bring:
- At least three years of hands-on Amazon Advertising experience, including planning, launching and optimizing Sponsored Ads and DSP campaigns.
- Experience managing budgets against commercial measures such as TACOS, ROAS, new-to-brand growth, and profitability.
- Practical knowledge of AMC, audience building, attribution and funnel measurement, supported by SQL, Excel, and BI tools.
- An understanding of how listings, content, inventory, availability and promotions affect retail media performance, plus experience managing Amazon Brand Stores.
- Familiarity with campaign and analytics platforms such as Pacvue, Helium 10, SmartScout or equivalents, and confidence using and critically evaluating generative AI tools.
- Clear communication, strong partnerships, and the ability to prioritize and work independently.
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
Also valuable:
- Experience with Amazon Business, B2B or considered-purchase products.
- Power BI or similar data visualization experience.
- Video advertising and creative optimization experience.
- Experience with paid search, paid social or programmatic display.
