About the Role Our Business Intelligence department owns financial data and analytics at the most granular level—from individual transactions and counterparties to products, clients, and business segments. We collect cost and revenue data from external counterparties, transform it into appropriate booking logic, and ensure it is correctly reflected in the General Ledger and analytical systems. We are looking for a Cost & Revenue Controller to take hands-on ownership of this process—ensuring data is collected completely, booked correctly, reconciled, and any discrepancies are identified and resolved. The role sits between Finance, BI, and Technology, bridging financial requirements with technical implementation. Reporting Line — Head of Business Intelligence Worksite — Remote What You Will Do Cost & Revenue Collection Own the process from raw counterparty statements through to final booking. Understand individual cost and revenue items and define appropriate collection and booking logic. Support onboarding of new products and counterparties. Ensure costs and revenues are correctly mapped to General Ledger accounts, products, and business categories. Reconciliation & Data Quality Reconcile counterparty statements against internal data and the General Ledger. Identify missing, duplicated, incorrectly classified, or incorrectly booked items. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and coordinate their resolution. Develop automated reconciliation and validation controls. Define and monitor data-quality and error KPIs. Business & Technology Integration Translate financial and business requirements into clear requirements for technical teams. Follow implementations through development, testing, deployment, and production monitoring. Validate that implemented solutions reflect the intended financial and accounting logic. Act as a bridge between Finance, BI, Operations, and Technology. Incident & Process Management Own financial data-quality incidents and ensure they are resolved within agreed SLAs. Perform root-cause analysis and drive permanent solutions for recurring issues. Continuously improve and automate reconciliation and control processes. Use SQL, Claude Code, and other analytical tools to investigate data and build reconciliation and control solutions. What You Will Bring Must Have: Strong understanding of reconciliation principles, financial controls, and accounting. Experience working with General Ledger and detailed financial data. Strong logical and analytical thinking with the ability to investigate complex discrepancies. Ability to translate financial requirements into requirements for technical teams. Strong attention to detail and focus on data quality. Ability to work independently and own problems through to resolution. Nice to Have: Experience in brokerage, banking, asset management, payments, or fintech. Experience working with transaction-level data and external counterparty statements. Experience designing automated reconciliation and financial controls. Experience building applications or analytical tools using Claude Code or similar AI-assisted development environments. Experience with Power BI, Python, or similar analytical tools. Previous audit experience, including Big Four. We Offer Competitive salary that reflects your experience and the value you bring. Flexibility that fits your life — work from home, from our office, or a mix of both. You decide what works best. Flexible benefits package — choose the options that suit your life, not a one-size-fits-all bundle. A genuinely good place to work — an informal, collaborative culture where ideas are heard and bureaucracy stays out of your way. Continuous learning — ongoing training, education programs, and the support to deepen your expertise in a fast-moving industry. Connection beyond your desk — events that bring our teams together to network and celebrate. Global exposure — work side by side with talented colleagues from all over the world, across a business serving clients in 100+ countries.
