YOU WILL
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day tasks related to clinical revenue management and charge capture projects, applying both your technical expertise and interpersonal skills to support our clients. By leveraging advanced technology tools, you will deliver high-quality analysis and process improvement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' revenue cycles. You’ll also collaborate with various levels of client leadership, making a tangible impact on their operations.
Focus will be within Perioperative Services, Invasive Cardiology (e.g., Cath and Electrophysiology Labs) and Interventional Radiology. Account reviews comparing clinical documentation to billing outcomes will be a critical element of your day-to-day activities. Applying clinical knowledge experiences to help improve and streamline charge capture processes elevating our clients to best-practice standards will be critical. Knowledge of specialty supplies (e.g., catheters) and implants (e.g., stents, mesh, surgical hardware) would be a bonus.
THE SKILLS REQUIRED
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a health-related field is required (an MBA, MHA, and/or MPH is highly desirable).
- Experience: 3-5 years of deep healthcare experience is required, with a focus on clinical areas such as radiology, cardiology, perioperative services, or nursing being a strong advantage.
- Consulting Expertise: Previous experience in a professional services or consulting role is essential, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering client-focused solutions.
- Revenue Cycle Knowledge: Expertise in hospital revenue cycle management, with a specific focus on charge capture processes, is required.
- Technical Proficiency & Certification: Technical knowledge in this area of expertise as well as the appropriate licensure or certification (e.g. clinical credentials such as BSN, certifications such as CCS, CPC, RHIA or project management certification). Must currently hold a CIRCC or CNOR credential or plan on acquiring one within 1 year of employment.
- Leadership & Project Management: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, guide cross-functional teams, and interact with all levels of client and internal staff.
- Analytical & Financial Skills: Exceptional financial and analytical skills are required, with a strong aptitude for using data to drive decision-making and process improvement. Proficiency in excel is required.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Business Development: Prior experience in sales or business development is a plus, showcasing the ability to foster client relationships and grow business opportunities.
- Travel Requirements: This position requires up to 20% travel to client sites as needed.
