Job Description - Revenue Cycle Epic Informatics Analyst - Hospital Billing (240000N1) Job Description Revenue Cycle Epic Informatics Analyst - Hospital Billing - ( 240000N1 ) Description Job Summary The Revenue Cycle Epic Informatics role will implement best practices at customer billing office locations. This role will provide subject matter expertise in all areas of the healthcare revenue cycle operations. Projects include, but are not limited to: Revenue cycle assessments, Workflow/Revenue cycle process improvement, alignment of processes with Epic/redesign and new implementations of Epic billing. This person understands billing practices within Epic, understands the healthcare revenue cycle, and has experience in, as well as continued training in Revenue Cycle industry requirements. This position will work with various billing offices to include revenue cycle leaders, billers, coders, and IT analysts to ensure workflows are efficient and meet all regulatory needs. Essential Functions: Acts as a liaison between revenue cycle and IT, supporting all customers throughout the revenue cycle in the implementation, learning, use, adoption, and optimization of revenue cycle and/or managed care technology projects. Support the analysis, implementation, evaluation, optimization, and maintenance of revenue cycle and managed care applications and projects. Conducts workflow analysis to improve efficient, reliable use of the revenue cycle information systems. Responds and assists customers immediately upon request and follows up on previous interactions to ensure issue resolution, escalation or issue closure with as appropriate considering the dynamic nature of information systems and system priorities. Demonstrates effective interactions and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with others in order to maximize productivity and positive employee relations. Supports customer access to and knowledge of operational revenue cycle reports. May perform additional duties of similar complexities within the organization as required or assigned Qualifications Five (5) or more years of related to healthcare revenue cycle operations and Epic and/or Epic revenue cycle implementations. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities necessary to perform the essential job functions. Ability to Travel. Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule. Epic Certification in Resolute HB, HB Claims or Resolute PB, PB Claims. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle data streams and how Epic can impact the performance of financial metrics.
