Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement Manager

Employment Type: Full-time | Hybrid

Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year

About the Role

Stallant Health & Wellness is looking for a hands-on Revenue Cycle & Reimbursement Manager to own our end-to-end revenue cycle across all practice locations and growing service lines. You'll lead our coding and billing team in AthenaHealth, oversee payor contracting and credentialing, and keep our Rural Health Clinic (RHC) operations compliant, while partnering closely with finance, clinical and operational leadership to maximize reimbursement and strengthen financial performance.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee daily revenue cycle operations in AthenaHealth: registration and eligibility verification, charge entry within 48 hours, claim submission, hold buckets, un-postables and payment posting
  • Manage denials, rejections, 0-pay reports, appeals, collections, refunds and Medi-Cal overpayments
  • Analyze reimbursement trends, payor fee schedules, contractual allowances and RHC wrap performance to identify underpayments and denial patterns
  • Track and report KPIs including Days in A/R, Clean Claim Rate, Net Collection Rate and Denial Rate
  • Support month-end close with reconciliations between Athena and general ledger revenue
  • Ensure compliance with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, CMS, Medi-Cal/DHCS and commercial payor rules; direct RHC statutory filings (Medicare Credit Balance Reports, quarterly CAP FTE/ORP reports)
  • Audit coding and documentation, train clinical and billing staff, and present findings at Quality Improvement meetings
  • Supervise credentialing and provider enrollment, ensuring no provider sees patients before credentialing is complete
  • Build SOPs, keep fee schedules current and optimize workflows in Athena and ClickUp as new service lines launch
  • Act as the main liaison between billing, front office, Practice Administrators and clinical teams

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration or a related field
  • 3+ years of healthcare revenue cycle and/or reimbursement experience
  • Strong working knowledge of AthenaHealth (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial payors; RHC billing experience a strong plus
  • Solid analytical and Excel skills, comfortable working with finance and GL data
  • Experience leading or training billing/coding staff
  • Clear, kind communicator who can work across clinical, operational and finance teams
  • Remote Proficiency and using digital collaboration tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).

Benefits

  • Health & Wellness
Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance: 100% company-paid monthly premiums for full-time employees and eligible dependents across all HMO and PPO plans (standard copays apply).
  • Health Savings Account (HSA): Up to a $4,150 annual company match for employees enrolled in our HDHP Gold Full PPO plan.
  • Financial Security & Time Off
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) and Roth IRA options with a 100% company match up to 6% of eligible compensation immediately upon starting.
  • Life Insurance: Free $50,000 basic term life insurance policy for full-time employees.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Flexible PTO policy combining vacation and sick time into a single bank.
  • Paid Holidays: 8 paid holidays annually (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day)
