Revolution Medicines - Senior Manager, Intellectual Property

Company: Revolution Medicines (“RevMed”) is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on developing novel targeted therapies to inhibit frontier targets in RAS-addicted cancers. The company’s R&D pipeline comprises RAS(ON) Inhibitors designed to suppress diverse oncogenic variants of RAS proteins, and RAS Companion Inhibitors for use in combination treatment strategies. As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway. Position Overview: RevMed is seeking a dynamic Intellectual Property Attorney or Agent to join the team. This individual will focus on patent preparation, prosecution, freedom-to-operate analyses, and landscape monitoring across research and development programs. Working collaboratively with RevMed’s current IP team members, the ideal candidate will support the growth and development of their complex IP portfolio as the company transitions to a commercial organization and establishes a global footprint. Expansion into other workstreams with job growth is expected (e.g., agreement negotiation and support, disputes, complex counseling, etc.). This role reports to the Director, Intellectual Property. Experience: The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience in patent prosecution and patent preparation in the biotech/pharmaceutical small molecule space. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or similar is required. Location/Relocation: Redwood City, CA, potentially on a hybrid basis. Remote candidates will be considered with the understanding that a regular in-office presence is required in order to collaborate with the team and other stakeholders. Compensation: The base salary range for this full-time position is $164,000 - $205,000 for candidates working onsite at RevMed’s headquarters in Redwood City, California. The range displayed is intended to be the salary for an individual working onsite in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market in which a candidate is based. Bar: Candidate must be admitted to practice before the USPTO. If an attorney, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school and a member in good standing of a U.S. State Bar.
