Do you want to help people access the beautiful East Sussex countryside? If so, our Rights of Way Officer post could be an exciting opportunity for you. We are recruiting a Rights of Way Officer to work in the Rights of Way & Countryside Team. The Team works to make sure that the public has safe and easy access across the County’s 2,000-mile path network. As a Rights of Way Officer, you will oversee approximately 500 miles of the county’s rights of way network. This will involve providing advice to path users and landowners and often working to resolve opposing interests. The role also involves carrying out inspections, sometimes in remote locations or on rough terrain. We are looking for candidates who: Can interpret maps and use GIS systems Commitment to customer service and can communicate, both verbally and in writing Can manage a complex and often competing workload Are able to travel independently around East Sussex Please download the Job Description and Person Specification for more information.
