Job Overview
We are looking for a Risk Analyst to identify trading abuse, assess client-related risks, and help protect the broker's profitability. The role focuses on analyzing trading behavior, investigating suspicious activity, and recommending effective controls to minimize potential losses.
What You Will Do:
- Identify trading patterns that may expose the broker to losses, including latency arbitrage, price exploitation, bonus abuse, and other abusive trading strategies.
- Evaluate client trading performance, execution history, holding periods, and account activity to distinguish normal trading behaviour from potential abuse.
- Investigate high-risk accounts, multiple-account activity, and suspected coordinated trading, providing clear findings and recommendations.
- Assess client exposure, leverage, and margin usage to identify potential financial risks and support timely action.
- Analyse trading disputes involving pricing, execution, and slippage to determine potential risk issues and support fair, evidence-based resolutions.
- Produce risk reports highlighting key findings, potential financial impact, and recommended actions.
- Work with the Dealing, Compliance, Fraud, and Customer Support teams to resolve cases and strengthen client risk controls.
- Recommend improvements to risk procedures and analytical tools to improve the early detection of suspicious trading activity.
What Makes You A Good Fit:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in client risk, dealing, trading operations, or risk analysis, preferably within an FX, CFD, or online brokerage.
- Good understanding of FX and CFD products, leverage, margin, order execution, and trading mechanics..
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or data analysis tools is an advantage.
- Familiarity with MT4/MT5 Manager, Admin, or other brokerage risk tools.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication skills.
What We Offer:
- Exposure to client risk management within the FX and CFDs industry.
- A collaborative working environment with opportunities for professional development.
- Hybrid work arrangement.
