We're looking for a Risk Management Specialist to support the day-to-day management of our property, workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims.

In this role, you’ll manage claims from initial reporting through resolution, partnering with internal leaders and external claims professionals to keep cases moving forward, address outstanding issues, and help control costs. You’ll also look beyond individual claims to identify trends, recurring loss drivers, and opportunities to reduce future risk.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is analytical, organized, comfortable navigating sensitive situations, and isn’t afraid to ask questions or drive follow-up when something needs attention.

Location: Lithia Home Office (preferred), open to remote/hybrid

Target Hiring Range: $50,000–$65,000

What You'll Do

• Manage and monitor property, auto liability, general liability, and workers’ compensation claims throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Partner with internal teams and external claims professionals to drive timely and effective claim resolution.
• Track claim activity, outstanding issues, and action plans, escalating significant developments or delays when appropriate.
• Provide responsive, service-focused support to employees, store and department leaders, and external partners.
• Review claim activity and trends to identify recurring loss drivers, cost-control opportunities, and potential loss-prevention strategies.
• Prepare clear claim updates for leadership, including significant developments, financial considerations, outstanding issues, and recommended next steps.
• Collaborate with the broader Risk Management team to improve claims processes and support risk management initiatives.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required; education in insurance, risk management, business, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in insurance, claims, risk management, business operations, or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify gaps, recognize trends, and follow issues through resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly and navigate difficult conversations.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and data-management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accurate information and consistent follow-up.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong ownership and sound judgment.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with business leaders, colleagues, and external partners.
• Discretion when working with sensitive or confidential information.

Total Rewards

At Lithia & Driveway, we believe in pay transparency. The full compensation range for this position is $50,000–$75,000, reflecting the earning potential and growth opportunities available within the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, job-related knowledge, and geographic location. Final pay decisions are made through the interview process and in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws.
