Overview of the Job
My client is seeking a Robotics Service Engineer to support troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair, and technical support activities for robotic and automation systems across the DACH region. This is a hands-on engineering role combining remote technical support, root-cause analysis, and on-site customer support.
Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot robotic hardware and software issues remotely and on-site
• Diagnose faults using system logs, alarms, and technical analysis tools
• Perform repairs, calibration, testing, and verification activities
• Support motion control systems, I/O, industrial communication networks, and safety systems
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and partners
• Document service activities, technical findings, and corrective actions
• Collaborate with internal engineering and R&D teams to resolve complex technical issues
Qualifications / Skills
• 3+ years of experience within robotics, industrial automation, or service engineering
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with automation or robotic systems
• Knowledge of PLCs, servo systems, industrial networking, or motion control
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical issues
• English communication skills for technical discussions and documentation
• Experience within robotics manufacturers or automation environments would be advantageous
Basic Korean reading and writing skills, to support regular communication with HQ in South Korea.
Other Relevant Information
• Hybrid role combining office-based support and customer site visits across the DACH region
• Approximately 20% travel following onboarding and training period
