Mechanical Service Engineer and Warehouse Lead

Location: Zoeterwoude and near Utrecht, the Netherlands (hybrid)

Salary: €4,800 – €5,200 gross per month, plus a potential performance-based year-end bonus

About us

We design and build bio-LNG plants, supply them to customers across Europe and support them with long-term service agreements. We operate two plants in the Netherlands, and we’re expanding internationally, with new sites planned for early 2027. This is an exciting time to join a growing team in the renewable energy sector.

The role

We’re looking for a hands-on mechanical professional to help us raise the standard of our service operations and our warehouse. You’ll split your time between fieldwork and desk-based tasks, with plenty of variety and room to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Professionalise and manage our warehouse in Zoeterwoude, including storage, inventory control and procedures
• Carry out, supervise and support on-site service at plants across the Netherlands
• Travel internationally to plant locations (currently Portugal, with Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and the UK to follow in early 2027)
• Perform maintenance on rotating equipment, including disassembling and reassembling valves
• Support the Service Manager with planning customer stops, managing SLAs and ordering parts

About you

• You have a good understanding of mechanical technologies and rotating equipment
• You’re hands-on, curious and keen to learn
• You’re flexible and collaborative, and happy to step outside the boundaries of your job description
• Dutch language skills are preferable, even at a basic level
• LNG experience is a plus but not essential

• You live within reasonable driving distance of Zoeterwoude (Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam or Utrecht areas)

What we offer

• Competitive salary of €4,800 – €5,200 per month, with a potential performance-based year-end bonus
• 27 days’ holiday, with the option to buy up to 10 additional days

• Time off in lieu for overtime
• €50 extra per night when working away from home
• Travel allowance of €0.25 per km for business travel and €0.28 per km for travel to airports and other locations
• A flexible working pattern of two days in the office and three days at home (site work counts as an office day)
