Make a real difference in people's lives with EML
Are you passionate about helping people get their lives back after injury or illness?
As Australia’s largest specialist in personal injury claims management, our sole focus is helping people return to work safely and confidently after a workplace incident.
We’re now welcoming applications for Return to Work Case Manager to join our supportive, purpose-driven team in Sydney on a permanent, full-time basis. This is deeply meaningful work where your empathy, problem-solving and commitment can make a real difference every day.
This is an exciting opportunity to join EML’s Specialised Insurance Group (SIG), supporting our Hospitality Industry Insurance (HII) and Trinity Insurance portfolios.
You’ll manage a portfolio of physical and psychological injury claims, working closely with injured workers, employers, medical practitioners and rehabilitation providers to support recovery and return-to-work outcomes.
Whether you're looking to transfer your allied health experience into a corporate environment, build on your existing case management skills or bring your strong customer service background into a new career, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of physical and psychological injury claims, applying sound judgement and decision-making to achieve positive outcomes.
- Building strong, empathetic relationships with injured workers, employers, treating practitioners and rehabilitation providers.
- Developing and implementing proactive strategies to support recovery and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Coordinating treatment, rehabilitation and recovery plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviewing claim entitlements, processing payments and determining liability in line with relevant guidelines.
- Facilitating case conferences and stakeholder discussions to progress recovery and return-to-work plans.
- Navigating challenging conversations with confidence, empathy and resilience.
What We’re Looking For
It’s okay if you haven't worked in claims management before. What matters most is your commitment to helping others, your ability to build relationships and your willingness to learn.
Do you have…
- Strong customer service experience, ideally within a medical, allied health, hospitality, retail or corporate environment?
- Experience in allied health, rehabilitation, disability support or case management? This is highly regarded but not essential.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing competing priorities?
- Good computer literacy, confidence navigating multiple systems and the ability to learn new technology quickly?
- Strong communication skills, resilience and a customer-first mindset?
- Creativity, curiosity and initiative when engaging with different stakeholders?
- A genuine passion for helping people get their lives back?
