Ruby on Rails Engineer

Department: Shared Services Location: US, remote Reports to: Manager, Cloud and Infrastructure Team We’re looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to help us build our cloud-native web applications. In this role, you will: Work with a team to build and maintain web applications in Ruby on Rails Develop software in line with our existing software architecture and coding guidelines Implement new features and modules Build APIs that can scale to millions of requests Develop automated test for new development Work with the latest tools and technologies in a highly collaborative environment Identify and consume ruby gems Be part of an agile team that moves quickly and loves Rails We’d love to hear from you if you have: 4+ years of experience with building Ruby on Rails Web applications Experience with front-end development including HTML, CSS and JavaScript Experience with building RESTful API endpoints Experience with relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL Experience with document and object-based databases including Redis or MongoDB A passion for Ruby on Rails and an appreciation for the benefits of agile workflows Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Passion for cycling or fitness technologies
